Privacy Policy — JemJob

1. Introduction

JemJob (“we”, “our”, “the Service”) is a web application that helps users send personalized application emails to recruiters, directly from their own Gmail account. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what your rights are.

By using JemJob, accessible at https://jemjob.app, you accept the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary for the operation of the Service:

Account and profile data: your name, your email address, your profile type (student, recent graduate, career changer, experienced professional, freelancer), your level of education, your target field or industry, and your skills.

Your CV: the PDF file of your CV that you upload, in order to personalize your applications.

Target companies: information about the companies and recruiters you wish to contact (company name, recruiter email, job title, industry).

Application history: the application emails generated and sent on your behalf, as well as their sending status.

Access to your Google / Gmail account: with your explicit authorization, we access your Gmail account solely to send on your behalf the application emails you have approved. See section 4 for details.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Create and manage your JemJob account.
• Generate personalized application emails from your profile and your CV, using an artificial intelligence service.
• Send these application emails from your Gmail account to the recruiters you have designated.
• Keep the history of your applications for your own tracking.
• Process your payments for the purchase of application packs.

We never sell your data. We do not use it for advertising purposes. We do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Google / Gmail Access and Compliance with the Google API Policy

JemJob requests access to the following Gmail permission: sending emails on your behalf (scope gmail.send).

JemJob’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In practice:

• We use Gmail access only to send the application emails you have created and approved.
• We do not read your incoming emails.
• We do not access your inbox.
• We do not delete or modify any existing message.
• We do not store the contents of your Gmail mailbox.
• The access tokens enabling sending are stored securely and encrypted, and are used exclusively for this function.
• We do not transfer this data to any third party, except to provide or improve the Service, for security purposes, or to comply with the law.
• Data obtained through Google APIs is never used to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence models, nor transferred to third-party services that would use it for such purposes.

You can revoke JemJob’s access to your Google account at any time from https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5. Artificial Intelligence Service

To generate your personalized application emails, we transmit to an AI provider (OpenAI) the information from your profile and the targeted position needed for drafting. This data is used solely to generate the text of your application and is never used to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence models. Data obtained through Google APIs is never used to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence models, nor transferred to third-party services that would use it for such purposes. No Gmail access data is transmitted to the AI provider.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is hosted on Supabase infrastructure, in data centers located in Ireland (European Union). We implement technical measures to protect your data: encryption of access tokens, restricted database access, secure connections (HTTPS).

No transmission of data over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we strive to protect your data through reasonable means consistent with industry standards.

7. Payments

Payments for the purchase of application packs are processed by our payment provider (Chariow). Your payment information (card number, etc.) is entered and processed directly by this provider. JemJob does not store or process your banking data.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, your CV, and your Gmail access tokens within a reasonable period, unless we are legally required to retain them.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access your data, to rectify it, to delete it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@jemjob.app. You can also revoke Gmail access at any time from your Google account settings.

If you reside in the European Union, you have the rights provided by the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

10. Minors

JemJob is restricted to persons aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data concerning minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date. In the event of a significant change, we will inform you.
